Addis Ababa, Ethiopia — The African Union Commission (AUC) Chairperson, H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, has appointed H.E. Moses Vilakati, currently the Commissioner for Agriculture, Rural Development, Blue Economy, and Sustainable Environment (ARBE), as the Acting Commissioner for Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, Industry, and Minerals (ETTIM).
The appointment follows the conclusion of the term of office for the previous Commissioner, H.E. Amb. Albert Muchanga, and serves as a transitional measure to ensure continuity in the department’s strategic and operational responsibilities.
