Gaya: Promotion of renewable energy, enhanced surveillance in and around world heritage Mahabodhi Mahavihara and easing its queued entry are among several measures that the district administration has proposed to increase the footfall of tourists and devotees in Bodh Gaya.
District magistrate-cum-Bodh Gaya Temple Management Committee (BTMC) chairman Thiyagarajan S M, who held a meeting on Monday evening in this regard amid the tourist season, made an appeal to the representatives of Buddhist monasteries of various countries to get solar lights installed under Prime Minister Saurya Ghar Scheme.
