LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The gaming win on the Las Vegas Strip dipped in March for the second straight month as tourism in Southern Nevada dropped, according to new figures released Tuesday.
Casinos on the Strip reported a win revenue of $681.7 million for the month, per the Nevada Gaming Control Board. That’s down about 4.8% compared to March last year, when the gaming win was $715.9 million.
Statewide, the reported gaming win was $1.28 billion, down about 1.1% from the year-ago month.
Other gaming properties were a little luckier with their win revenue. Downtown Las Vegas casinos saw an 11.6% jump year-over-year, up to $85 million for March, and properties on the Boulder Strip were up 10.2%, to $86.3 million.
