In 2025, tourism arrivals will return to the solid growth trajectories that were recorded pre-Covid. BMI a Fitch Solutions firm said it projects that total global arrivals will expand by 12.4% in 2025 compared to 2019 levels (pre-pandemic) to reach 1.6bn.
This marks a stronger growth to 2024’s estimated 3.9% increase on 2019 levels (when BMI estimated global arrivals recovered to their pre-pandemic volumes) and highlights that more markets’ tourism arrivals are now moving beyond their recovery phase into growth.
