The Asia specialist, which became B Corp Certified last year, has handed over £41,000 to the charity as part of its commitment to reinforcing travel’s role as a force for good, enshrined in its purpose mission.
“We are thankful that we are in the position to be able to make a significant contribution and a positive impact on the lives of families who really deserve a holiday,” said ITG co-founder Simon King.
“We believe that travel is an enriching force for good that everyone should have access to, and we will continue to do what we can to help charities like Family Holiday Charity and the people they support.”
Established in 1975, the Family Holiday Charity provides holidays for low-income families, and relies entirely on public donations to carry out its work. Last year, it sent more than 1,100 families on much-needed holidays.
Through its Giving Back scheme, ITG has pledged to donate 5% of tits profits to charities sending disadvantaged families on holiday. It is working with similar initiatives in Japan and Vietnam, as well as in the US and Australia where it has offices.
