The aim of the national celebration is to highlight travel’s impact on our economy and our community’s quality of life.

The greater Memphis area welcomed 15 million visitors with 5.9+ million hotel rooms sold in 2023. Memphis and Shelby County saw an economic impact of $4 billion in 2022. Each of these statistics indicate a promising outlook for the travel and tourism industry in our destination.
Additionally, Memphis tourism’s Travel & Trade Sales reached 221,000+ room nights, resulting in an economic impact of $1.29 million in 2023. Convention Sales also successfully booked 88K+ future room nights in 2022.
