The merger between Six Flags and Cedar Fair is due to be completed on July 1, with the combined company operating over 50 parks and properties in the US, Canada, and Mexico. The merger was announced in November with a valuation of $8 billion, including debt. The combined company will be named Six Flags Entertainment Corporation and will start trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol FUN on July 2. The company’s new headquarters will be in Charlotte, North Carolina, with important finance and administrative operations in Sandusky, Ohio, the current base for Cedar Fair.
