GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Tourism leaders gathered at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park Monday to speak about the benefit of tourism for Michigan cities.
In celebration of National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW) starting Monday, leaders from Pure Michigan, Experience Grand Rapids, and the Tourism Industry Coalition of Michigan (TICOM) gathered at the award-winning Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park to spotlight the positive economic impact of tourism and accessibility initiatives, citing that Michigan’s visitor economy generated a $50 billion impact in 2023 including $29.3 billion in visitor spending and the support of 346,000 jobs, according to a report from Tourism Economics.
