DULUTH — A city-appointed committee has recommended an out-of-state firm to handle the community’s destination-marketing services for the next two years: Madden Media, a tourism marketing business headquartered in Tucson, Arizona.
A news release indicated the city’s intention to keep that recommendation under wraps until a Dec. 5 City Council committee-of-the-whole meeting. Councilors will have the final say Dec. 9.
But one of the unsuccessful finalists for the job spilled the beans Friday by responding to the News Tribune’s request that it share a terse letter it had received Thursday.
