PENSACOLA, Fla. — 2024 was a record setting year for tourism in Pensacola.
Visit Pensacola released its annual tourism report, which shows the area’s tourism industry continues to grow.
The tourism resulted in more than $2 billion in economic impact and an overall increase in the number of visitors to our area — 2.5 million.
That is up more than 2 percent from the previous year.
“We set new records in tourism development tax collection,” said Darien Schaefer, president/CEO of Visit Pensacola. “That’s the tax all of our lodging properties collect. We exceeded $22 million in collections for the very first time.”
It’s good news for local businesses in the greater Pensacola area.
