A Delta Air Lines passenger violated airline regulations by vaping on the jet bridge prior to boarding the aircraft. The act of smoking or vaping on a plane, including on the jet bridge, is strictly prohibited. Disabling lavatory smoke detectors to smoke can result in fines up to $2,000. In a prior incident in March, another passenger was removed from a Delta flight for vaping. It’s uncertain whether the defiant passenger complied with the no-smoking rule for the rest of the flight. Violations of these rules can lead to serious consequences, as prioritizing the act of smoking or vaping could potentially lead to a loss of personal freedom.
