Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun has been grilled by senators over a variety of allegations leveled at the company, including its safety record, whistleblower allegations, and his own pay. Calhoun opened the session by issuing an apology to those affected by the fatal accidents involving the company’s 737 Max 8 aircraft in 2018 and 2019. The Justice Department is currently assessing whether to bring charges in relation to the crashes. Calhoun is set to leave his position as the CEO at the end of the year.
