The city of Shenandoah has been named a Tourism Friendly Texas Certified Community by Travel Texas, a state program, as announced by Gov. Greg Abbott on Nov. 22.
What to know
The city gained the name in the inaugural year of the program after completing a multistep certification process, according to a news release from the governor’s office.
“I congratulate the city of Shenandoah and the Shenandoah Convention and Visitors Bureau on earning this designation,” Gov. Abbott said in a news release.
