GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)—Summer is approaching, which is prime time for tourism in the Valley. In the following months, Mesa County will have high school graduations, Colorado Mesa University graduations, Country Jam, and JUCO. There will also be a number of festivals and parades throughout the summer.
According to an impact study from Colorado Mesa University, Country Jam brings more than $11 million to the economy. JUCO is another leading contributor, with ten baseball teams traveling to Grand Junction, along with family members and fans. The City of Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce estimates the eight-day tournament brings in an estimated 2.8 million for the city.
