The Philippine government will refund VAT (VAT) to tourists in the future.
The Philippine government recently passed a VAT refund bill for non-resident tourists. The bill was signed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in December last year.
Accordingly, non-resident tourists can receive a VAT refund if they purchase at least 3,000 pesos (KRW 77,000) or more in the Philippines. However, the condition is that the purchase must be taken out when leaving the Philippines within 60 days from the date of purchase.
