The Tourism Economics Report recently released by I Love NY and Empire State Development shows the impact of the hospitality industry in Ontario County.
Spending on hotels, entertainment, food and beverage, and transportation in 2023 grew by 11.7 percent and tourism and hospitality in Ontario County had an economic impact of more than $341 million.
The spending helped boost state tax revenue in the county by 10.2 percent and local tax growth by 9.3 percent.
Spending for lodging hit $98 million and was $16 million on entertainment and recreation, with $138 million on food and beverage, $44 million on retail and service stations, and $20 million on transportation.
