On Monday December 2, a regulation came into effect introducing new registration obligations for individuals or organisations providing accommodation services, including hotels, hostels, guesthouses, rural tourism establishments, campsites, and motorhome parking areas.
These services must now register through the government’s application, ses.hospedajes.
This measure, which carries potential fines of up to €30,000, has been poorly received by travel agencies, hotels, and tour operators for two main reasons.
