NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) – The tourism industry in Nebraska is experiencing a surge, and Visit North Platte has seen a significant increase in visitors over the past year — especially from neighboring states like Minnesota, Iowa, and Colorado.
This uptick in tourism is bringing new energy to North Platte and contributing to the local economy.
“$122 million in direct spending all in the Lincoln County and the North Platte area in 2023,” said Executive Director of Visit North Platte Lisa Burke. “We’re right along the interstate and halfway between Denver and Omaha and we’re a great stopping point as people are traveling.”
