With a rich African heritage present in its culture, history and gastronomy, Rio de Janeiro was elected the Best National Afrotourism Destination during the 3rd edition of the Afrotourism Awards, held this Monday (14/4), in São Paulo. The announcement was made at the World Travel Market Latin America (WTM-LA) – one of the most important global events in the tourism sector. The award is promoted by the Guia Negro platform, which has the appreciation of Afro-Brazilian roots as one of its strategic pillars.
