Flagship Business passengers can look for American Airlines priority signs at the airport to speed through check-in, security, and the gate. Priority privileges minimize or eliminate waiting time at various checkpoints at the airport. Passengers can bypass general boarding at the gate and board in the priority lane whenever they arrive during the boarding process.

Upon disembarking the aircraft at the destination, priority passengers receive their bags first at the baggage carousel. Priority access can be purchased through the carrier’s website or at the airport counter. The Flagship Business passengers also receive access to the premium lounge at select hub airports.

American Airlines offers an additional Five Star Service or Five Star Select service to Flagship Business and First class passengers at select domestic and international airports. The service provides access to priority check-ins and the Admirals Club lounge. The experience also includes car service coordination and personalized service through the airport. The Five Star Select also includes American Airlines vehicles or car transfer within select airports.

With the Business or First class ticket, the service must be purchased in advance or at the airport. The service costs up to $650 for the first passenger. Passengers can utilize their AAdvantage miles to cover the purchase. The airline aims to add more airports for Flagship Business and First Class passengers to its elite service.

The airline configures its Flagship Business cabin in a 2-1-2 configuration on widebody jets, meaning all passengers get an aisle or a window. The spacious cabin, combined with up to 21 inches of seat width, is nothing less than a luxurious experience in the air.
