The Department of Transportation has approved United Airline’s application to fly from Guam to Tokyo Haneda opening up another route to Japan.
The department issued a notice of action on Saturday Guam time approving the route.
The one nighttime only Haneda slot will be become available upon its return to the department on April 2, in order for United to provide year-round daily scheduled transportation of persons, property, and mail between Guam and Tokyo Haneda, the notice of action states.Â
This comes after United renewed its efforts to launch the route between Guam’s airport and Tokyo’s Haneda airport.
âUnited stands ready to institute this proposed service on May 1, 2024, after a final award from the Department,â the airline wrote in its renewed application to the Department of Transportation.
