Air India-Vistara merger: New era in Indian aviation dawns

The Indian aviation industry had multiple players with a dominant low cost player in Indigo and the full services being catered by the near decade old Vistara and the privatised Air India.

Earlier this week, the Indian civil aviation market shifted as the Tata-promoted airline Vistara, merged with Air India. While the brand will be missed, the airline’s capacity will be operational and India is mature and dynamic enough to adjust to change.
