HKTB, tvN Asia Partner on Pinoy Travel Romance Reality Show

The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has partnered with CJ ENM Hong Kong’s TVN Asia to create a new dating reality show titled “My Dream B&B” (working title). This collaboration aims to promote Hong Kong as a vibrant travel destination by blending elements of travel and romance, specifically targeting the Philippines market.

The show began production in Q3 2023 and is scheduled to air in Q4 2023 across Asia on TVN Asia. Filmed entirely within Hong Kong, it will feature popular Filipino actor-host Alex Gonzaga. The cast includes two Filipino male leads and six female contestants from various Asian countries. Viewers will follow the contestants as they develop romantic relationships while exploring Hong Kong’s iconic sights, famous attractions, and hidden gems through a series of challenges.

This initiative is a strategic effort to attract young, affluent, and adventurous Filipino travelers. Raymond Chan, HKTB’s regional director for Southeast Asia, emphasized that the Philippines is a top priority market where travel desire has re-emerged, making this an opportune time to engage this demographic. The show intends to enhance Hong Kong’s image as an exciting and romantic destination and stimulate increased visitor numbers.

Michael Jung, managing director of CJ ENM Hong Kong, expressed the company’s honor in collaborating with HKTB. He highlighted the proven popularity of travel content and the growing trend of Pinoy dating reality shows. Jung believes that “My Dream B&B” will offer unique and captivating content, leveraging CJ ENM Hong Kong’s K-content production expertise to positively impact Hong Kong’s tourism. The show will be distributed across TVN Asia’s network in 10 territories, positioning Hong Kong as a top-of-mind travel destination.
