Iran recently participated in the 8th annual Conference on Intercultural Dialogue (CHANDI) in Bali, Indonesia. The conference, held under the auspices of the UNWTO, focused on the theme “Culture and Art as Pillars of Peace.”
During the event, Iran’s Permanent Ambassador to UNESCO, Ahmad Jalali, who also serves as the chairman of the Executive Board of the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), presented Iran’s perspective. He emphasized that culture and art are fundamental to fostering peace and understanding among nations.
Jalali highlighted Iran’s rich cultural heritage and artistic achievements as examples of how these elements can bridge divides and promote dialogue. He stated that the deliberate promotion of cultural and artistic exchanges can play a crucial role in achieving global peace and tranquility.
