Over 50,000 Russian tourists expected to visit Iran by yearend

TEHRAN – The number of Russian tourists visiting Iran is projected to surpass 50,000 in 2024, according to an Iranian official.

“Last year, about 50,000 Russian tourists traveled to Iran and that figure is expected to reach a new high this year,” said Moslem Shojaei, who presides over the Office for Foreign Tourism Marketing and Development at the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts.
