Police in Thailand have detained three foreign tourists who allegedly attacked a Russian man in Phuket as the man attempted to prevent them from raping two women.
The injured man, identified as Aleksandr Belinskii, suffered facial injuries while fighting off the attackers, who reportedly tried to assault two Finnish women during the early hours of Saturday, The Nation reported.
The women told police that while they were in their hotel room, three men barged in and attempted to rape them.
Belinskii said he was passing by the room when he witnessed the attack. He intervened to stop the men, who then turned on him and attacked him…
