The sixth SAP Concur “Global Business Travel Survey” has identified some of the primary challenges faced by business travelers, such as travel disruptions and budget limitations. The report highlights perceived lack of equality in opportunity to undertake business trips and its implications for career advancement. The study surveyed 3,750 business travelers across 24 markets and found that two-thirds of participants believe business travel contributes to career progression. However, 66% also feel they haven’t had equal opportunity for business travel compared to their co-workers. Interestingly, younger generations such as Gen Z (72%) and Millennials (68%) consider business travel more important for their careers compared to older generations (Gen X: 64%, Boomers: 58%).
