What it’s really like for a lifelong economy passenger

I’ve lived in Australia for a decade, and during that time I have flown home to the UK about six times.

Like most Aussies, it’s always been in economy. And I’ve survived, despite my 6ft frame being jammed into those cramped seats.

But on a recent journey to Rome via Dubai, with Emirates, I was upgraded to Business Class for the first time.
