Thanks to the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, airlines have resumed flights and the number of tourists visiting Korea has increased significantly. So I went to a place that is said to provide comprehensive information on Seoul tourism to foreign tourists and those who are interested in unique tourist destinations.
The Seoul Tourism Plaza Tourist Information Center, a 6-minute walk from Jonggak Station in the direction of Cheonggyecheon Stream, is open to everyone, making it a convenient place to visit for those interested in taking a tour of Seoul.

The first floor of Seoul Tourism Plaza serves as a Traveller’s Lounge so visitors can grab a chair and sit comfortably in the lobby and read travel books or tourist information brochures. There are power outlets on the tables by the window for visitors to take a break while charging the phone.

The Tourist Information Desk seemed like a great place to obtain some information for foreign tourists thanks to the English, Chinese, and Japanese-speaking receptionists. There are also free brochures on various tourist attractions in Seoul on the bookshelf under the desk.
The brochures are available different languages, so they can make a nice gift for foreign friends and friends. The brochures are full of information on hiking, traditional markets, gourmet food, and Korean Wave. Even Seoulites would find the brochures helpful because some of the information provided in the brochures includes hidden charms of Seoul that they didn’t know about.

There is also a space where tourist information on Busan is available. Because the information was compiled in collaboration with the Busan Metropolitan City, it can be worthwhile to stop by at this corner of the lobby if you are planning to visit the city.

There are also a variety of souvenirs on display, many of which are winners of the Seoul Tourism Souvenir Contest. From tumblers and figurines featuring Haechi, the city’s mascot, to trays decorated with mother-of-pearl, key rings and magnets representing Seoul’s tourist attractions, there are so many beautiful products that can commemorate your visit to Seoul. I found myself wanting to buy some for myself as well as gifts.

There is also a machine for exchanging foreign coins in the corner. Small change coins left over from an overseas trip often end up in a drawer or being forgotten because most banks don’t exchange them because of the small denominations. If you have some coins you want to exchange, put them in an envelope for each country and apply via the app as written in the instructions, the service vendor will pick them up and deposit the equivalent amount into your account. It would be a smart way to handle foreign coins left over from overseas trip.
