2024 – A promising year for Dien Bien tourism | Videos

The Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum has long been a popular destination on journeys to explore Dien Bien. It welcomed more than 150,000 visitors last year, with the panorama of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in 1954 remaining its most appealing exhibit.

This is, in fact, the largest panorama in Southeast Asia and one of the three largest in the world. The museum’s exhibition hall also displays more than 1,000 artifacts that vividly depict the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

The upgraded airport provides better links between Dien Bien and other provinces and cities. This is also an opportunity for Dien Bien to strengthen promotional activities, attract investment, and boost socio-economic development, especially in the field of tourism.

In addition to historical tourism, with relics from the Dien Bien Phu battlefield, Dien Bien province, with a diverse community of 19 ethnic groups and beautiful natural landscapes, is a vibrant and colourful tourism destination in its own right.

In 2024, with the National Tourism Year coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, nearly 170 events are expected to take place around the province. Hosting the National Tourism Year is also expected to be of special significance for the local tourism sector./.
